The River Salwarpe is available
Welcome to our fishery, Hawford Bridge. Set in 40 acres of the beautiful wooded Salwarpe Valley, adjacent to the newly refurbished Worcester/Droitwich Canal and yet only 3 miles from J6 of the M5. Over the last 10 years a lot of effort has been put in to create this quiet haven for anglers. We offer a variety of fishing on 3 mature lakes and for those seeking the delights of river fishing we can also offer a 1 mile pegged stretch of the River Salwarpe. In 2010 we will be opening a fourth lake on the fishery, to be called 'Reddings'. Hawford Bridge is located between Worcester and Ombersley on the A449.
For 2010 we are delighted to be able to offer quality accommodation on site in the form of 3 self-catering holiday cottages. Each of the cottages is fully furnished and ideal for those wishing to explore the local area, relax in our countryside or just experience the quality of our fishing. But you don't have to be an angler to enjoy our facilities - if you are after peace and quiet, space and tranquility and a relaxed informal setting then visit us at Hawford Bridge.
Why not use Hawford Bridge as a base to explore other local fisheries and the River Severn? Moorlands Farm, Woodland View, Solhampton, Larford and the River Teme are all only a short drive away.
the facilities
The gates to the fishery open at 7am every morning and you are encouraged to make an early start. Parking areas are situated close to the lakes and at key points along the river. Please start fishing when you are ready we will collect the ticket money on the bank during the day.
Hawford Bridge has become renowned for its large head of quality ghost carp and the mirrors and commons all run to over 20lbs. Be prepared for a real test of skill as these quality carp all know how to use the natural cover that abounds around the lakes. Apart from the carp we also offer quality perch, roach and bream fishing that really comes into its own in the colder months. The River Salwarpe offers the chance for quality chub, barbel and pike.
Hawford Bridge is available only on a day-ticket or to residents in our accommodation.
